VINTAGE JAMES B. BEAM WHISKEY CERAMIC POTTERY DECANTER JUG by BRONTE LIQUEUR CO..
Is in very good preowned vintage condition, no chips or cracks, no glazing
Approximately 7 x 5 inches, no stopper
Holds approximately 750 ml, sold empty
It is a cream and golden brown colored stoneware piece, and has a handle on one side as well as a pour spout. The bottom is stamped: CRAFTED FOR / JAMES B. BEAM IMPORT CORP. BY / BRONTE LIQUEUR CO. LTD.
Since 1795 (interrupted by Prohibition), seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the company that produces the brand. The brand name became "Jim Beam" in 1943 in honor of James B. Beam, who rebuilt the business after Prohibition ended. Therefore, the decanter was probably produced between 1933 after prohibition, but before 1943, when the James B. Beam Corporation became Jim Beam.
