The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops.  The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch around his neck to cultivate his new land.  The necklace has the dream catcher symbol that filters out all bad thoughts and allows positive energy.

Longer style beaded medallion and beaded on both sides.
Bright red and beautiful orange and yellow color glass Chaquira beads.
2"W glass beaded medallion with graduated length dangles.
Each medallion is woven onto a black simulated leather and both medallions are woven together with red glass beads to form a pouch.
Medallion has a dream catcher symbol in the center with clear metallic yellow tube beads and metallic orange twist tube beads with white, gold and orange color outer rings that form the symbol of Hope.
A larger yellow color glass bead with circles of gold, orange and red beads is woven into the center of the dream catcher.
The medallion is held by a beautiful Huichol red beaded strand with yellow Peyote flower insets that match the medallion.
13 dangles form the Prayer Arrow symbol with clear metallic yellow tube and clear metallic orange twist tube beads and yellow Peyote flowers at the tips.

Handmade by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico.  The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language.  Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces and earrings.  Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work.  One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace.  This necklace is 100% authentic Huichol hand crafted jewelry and not the imitation beaded necklace.
