    This DCA penny features Surfer Mickey and surfer Minnie at opening of DCA in 2001
    .
    It is pressed on a post 1983 penny which is copper plated zinc. When pressed, zinc cents can show "streaks" or silver smearing (see Pic) that shows through the copper plating. Pre 1982 pennies are solid copper pennies resulting in a better quality, no streaks or smearing and longer lasting shine.
    First on stage May 2001 and retired May 2005.
